mumms Software develops and engineers the revolutionary Hummingbird platform used by hospice and palliative care facilities across the nation. Hummingbird is a visionary new approach to end-of-life EMR software, a full suite designed to aid in both clinical and business operations and compatible with mobile devices and desktop hardware.  

Are you a software engineer, who has created numerous, complex, high-availability, enterprise web applications and wants to be a leader, sharing your experience with other team members? We are a dynamic company, looking for intelligent people to think hard and design/build the software they’ve always wanted to.

Successful candidates will have

  • Bachelors or Masters in CS or equivalent
  • 8+ years of overall experience
  • 5+ years of web development experience at all levels of the enterprise application stack
  • 5+ years of SQL and data driven app development
  • Experience with test driven development and the continuous delivery cycle
  • Experience with microservices
  • Experience with the following: Openshift, Google App Engine, Amazon Web Services
  • Excellent knowledge of JS/HTML/CSS including frameworks like Angular, React, Ember, Backbone, Node and others.
  • Superior knowledge of all things linux
  • Experience building web applications for multiple devices including iOS and Android
  • Understanding of MVC, MVP and similar design patterns
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment (SCRUM + FDD)
  • The desire to work with the newest technologies to deliver the best user experience on laptop/desktops, tablets, phones, and devices yet to be thought of
  • Be excited by the prospect of mentoring engineers in new technologies while creating the highest quality, best designed software in the industry

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry and knowledge of Medicare rules
  • Strong knowledge of perl, XML, XSLT, bash
  • JEE
