mumms CPC v1.9 –Release Notes
Notes With this version of CPC, we are raising the mandatory version to build 31869. If you are using a very old version of CPC, you will see a notice that an upgrade is required before you can continue to use CPC.
Features
- CPC Client – Agencies now have the ability to configure a reply-‐to address for emails that are sent from within CPC. Please contact cpc-‐ support@mumms.com to configure.
- CPC Mobile -‐ Made changes so the option “Hospice will cover” will no longer appear on medication questionnaires for Palliative Care locations.
Bug Fixes
- CPC Client -‐ Fixed a bug that caused the medication listing to display incorrectly when editing certain orders.
- CPC Client -‐ Modified the client to address the SSL3 “POODLE” vulnerability
- CPC Client -‐ Fixed a bug that caused an extra page break to appear when printing orders from the edit questionnaire page.
- CPC Client -‐ Fixed a bug that caused emails to sometimes fail to send when a user was preparing the email offline.
- CPC Server -‐ If a visit is synched during a brief server outage or period of unusually heavy load, the patient.xml file on the server can become corrupted. We have made the application more robust in repairing the file after this happens to minimize any impact to the user, and we will continue to monitor and gather information.
- CPC Server -‐ Fixed a bug that caused empty order listings in the chart-‐by-‐ discipline page.
- CPC Server -‐ Addressed a problem that would occasionally cause visit schedules to be recorded incorrectly in the database, causing errors on the Visit Variance report.
- Reports -‐ Fixed problems causing the Emergency Preparedness Report to be slow and show incorrect results.
- CPC Mobile -‐ Clarified authorization of physicians only to edit orders, and tightened access to visit types.
- CNA App -‐ Fixed a bug that caused CNA visits to have incorrect started and synched timestamps.
Known Bugs
- CPC Client -‐ Sometimes when saving a note (right-‐pane) that has been added to a patient’s chart, a “syntax error” message will display, and use of the application is hindered. Measures have been taken to mitigate the problem and we will continue to research the issue.
- CPC Server -‐ Rarely, visits that have been synched will not transfer to PAS in a timely fashion. A number of problems have caused this to happen. Several of these problems have been identified and fixed, but it may still occur from time to time. Logging output is being boosted to gather more information.
Care Plans and Charting, version 1.8.8 – Release Notes
This document describes the changes in the software since Care Plans and Charting, version 1.8.8
Changes from 1.8.7.8 to 1.8.8
notes
features
-
CPC Client – When creating or editing certain orders, and medications have been added which will not be covered by the hospice, a question has been added to allow a physician to explain why the medications are not covered.
-
CPC Client – Medications will now display when creating or editing an order which has been configured to display them.
-
CPC Server – CPC.pm has been modified so that getFirms() and getLocations() methods will accept an optional space-delineated list of firm or location objects to return.
-
CPC Mobile – The CPC Mobile app will also now accommodate listing of medications when editing orders configured to display them, and will display the new question for entering an explanation for medications not covered by the hospice.
-
CPC Mobile – The CPC Mobile app will now automatically logout after the user has been inactive for a configurable length of time; the default is 5 minutes.
-
Reports – Changes have been made to the database and queries have been streamlined for some reports, so that reports will run more quickly. This is an ongoing process.
bug-fixes
-
CPC Client – Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause questionnaires with no responses to be removed from patient’s charts if the patient was super-archived, even in cases where the visit was retained. This bug was also causing these questionnaires to be left out of pru.pl listings.
-
CPC Client – Previously, the “inline” medication listing format operated differently from the “table” medication listing format, in that when viewing an order from a previous visit, the inline listing format showed the status of medications at the time of the visit, whereas the table format showed the status of medication at the current time – even if one or more of the medications had been changed since the time of the previous visit. This has been changed so that the table format behaves the same way as the inline format – showing medications as of the date of the visit, rather than as of the present time.
known-bugs
Changes from 1.8.7.7.1 to 1.8.7.8
notes
features
-
CPC Client – The discontinue (DC) button has been removed from all questionnaires but Care Plan Problems.
-
CPC Client – The way details and historical changes are displayed when previewing questionnaires has been changed. When viewing the details of a Care Plan Problem, you can still see the history of deselections and discontinuations. Line-throughs have been removed; deselections and discontinuations will all be highlighted in yellow. When viewing the details of an Order or Form, only details of current values selected will be displayed.
-
CPC Client – For Palliative Care locations, the option “Hospice will cover” will no longer appear on medication questionnaires.
-
CPC Server – Database connections for authentication are all routed to the Colorado server. On the Colorado server only, one database connection is used for both data and authentication needs.
-
CPC Server – Patients are now automatically super-archived if they contain more than 200 visits or the file size is greater than 3 MB. This behavior can be turned off on request.
-
CPC Mobile – After resolving an order on the unresolved orders page, the user is now redirected back to the unresolved orders page.
-
CPC Mobile – Physicians using CPC Mobile will now see unresolved orders filtered by their last name, by default.
-
CNA App – The CNA App now has a ‘Report a Problem’ page for submitting support requests to Mumms Support.
-
Reports – The Late Charting Report has been changed: the arrival time listed on the chart is given now as Arrival Date/Time, and the actual time the visit was entered into CPC is given now as Actual Date/Time. These times are converted to each firm’s local timezone.
bug-fixes
-
CPC Client – The number of patient.xml backups has been reduced to prevent CPC from using excessive hard drive space.
-
CPC Client – A bug which caused stale sticky values to be applied from previous forms has been fixed. Previously, when creating a new questionnaire or editing an existing questionnaire, if the last change to a response had been to discontinue or deselect it, this sticky value was incorrectly being applied on the new form. Sometimes, when the values of sticky text fields had been changed several times, an out-of-date text value was being applied on the new form. These problems have been fixed.
-
CPC Client – When printing an Order that has been configured to show the entire Plan of Care details, and a user hides one or more Plan of Care sections, page breaks will no longer appear after hidden sections.
-
CPC Server – The process that sends data to the database has been improved to both sychronize database maintenance and expedite visits to be processed.
-
CPC Server – When attempting to run an audit when another audit is already running, the second audit will not run and the user will see a message that another audit is already running.
-
CPC Server – Archiving, unarchiving, super-archiving, and super-unarchiving no longer calls external perl scripts (.pl files). Instead this is all done within Patient.pm

Sticky Questions. It is now possible to make questions “sticky” meaning that they will aumatically pre-populate with the last answer. This works in several ways. For example, on the Plan of Care / Treatment Plan – Recertification order, if you make the question, “Is patient uncomfortable because of pain,” sticky, and select an answer, the next time someone creates one of those orders, that answer will be pre-selected and will be in purple. Sticky questions also exist in between forms. For example, if the same question was on the Plan of Care / Treatment Plan – Initial, and you answered it, it will be pre-populated with that answer the next time someone creates a POC / Treatment Plan – Recertfication order. Whenever a user creates a problem, form or order that has pre-populated answers, they wil be asked to review any questions that were pre-populated and not changed. They will not be allowed to close the visit until they have accepted all pre-populated, unchanged questions. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS THE USER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THE STICKY QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED CORRECTLY. In order to see this feature, you will have to install the demo2 location from the staging server. Instructions are below. We have setup the demo2 location with sticky questions on the following forms, orders, and questionnaires:Initial Nursing AssessmentPlan of Care / Treatment Plan – InitialPsychosocial Visit Record – Initial AssessmentInitial Nursing Assessment – InpatientNursing Visit Record – InpatientNursing Visit Record LPNCriteria Evaluation for CertificationNursing Visit RecordPlan of Care Progress SummaryPsychosocial Visit RecordPlan of Care / Treatment Plan – Recertification

You can then print/fax this page to the physician who can answer the question(s) and fax back.
