An easy way for staff to update their Care Plan Problems and update IDG/IDT WHILE completing their routine documentation is by using a feature called Care Plan Notes. Care Plan Notes are found in the “right-hand pane”, accessible from every screen in an Open Visit.
To use Care Plan Notes, go to the right-hand pane; use the right & left arrows to make the pane larger or smaller. Click the “down” arrow to see all of the contents in the chart.
A listing of the contents of the record will display.
See “Care Plan-Take Notes” with a list of all care plans that are in the chart listed. To view the actual care plan, scroll down further to see “Care Plans” with the list of care plans.
Choose the care plan you wish to make notes on and type your narrative note. NOTE: using the generic “Take General Notes” (as highlighted above) will cause your note to be filed in the “Notes” section of the record as opposed to documenting onto your Care Plan Problem.
